School Based Dental Screening Info

posted May 6, 2015, 9:02 AM by Thomas D'Arcy McGee Catholic School

The purpose of this video is to inform parents and teachers about the school-based dental screening activity including the purpose of this public health activity, to show how it is done and to link parents to community resources relating to dental services.

This video promotes the importance of participating in the dental screening at the school. Dental screening is importantbecause 57% of 6-11 year olds have or have had a cavity. If left untreated, dental problems can lead to pain and infection; and a small problem becomes a bigger problem.
