Our school resource officer – Constable Megan Arbuthnot – will be presenting to the parents of Thomas D’Arcy McGee Catholic School, St. Brother Andre Catholic School, St. John Paul II Catholic School on the topic of drugs and our youth. This will take place at Thomas D’Arcy McGee Catholic on February 17th at 6:30 pm. Please consider joining us on this very important topic.

KIDS AND DRUGS – A PARENTS GUIDE TO PREVENTION - This workshop is intended to inform and advise parents and caregivers who want to learn more about their role in preventing their school aged children (generally, ages eight through 15) from using or abusing alcohol and drugs. The focus of the program is prevention, not intervention or treatment. The target audience is parents who are striving to acquire the skills and knowledge required to raise healthy children who will not experience problems with alcohol or drugs. The Kids and Drugs program is to directly address important protective factors in the family, such as open communication and supportive relationships between parents and children.
