Student Pick-Up and Drop-Off

posted Nov 12, 2017, 9:38 AM by Deborah Langdon

Good Afternoon TD McGee Catholic School Families - this past week, I was approached by a neighbour of our school. She expressed concerns about the traffic and parking issues that have been occurring at drop-off and pick-up times. Keeping in mind that the safety of our students is the key priority, it is important that we respect our neighbours and maintain positive relationships with them.

I would respectfully ask that when you are picking up or dropping off your child that you remember and respect the following guidelines:

- follow all parking signs and restrictions - including proximity to an intersection
- do not park in the city bus zone/stop
- do not park on the grass - either the neighbours or ours
- do not park in or use neighbour driveways to turn around - please go around the block
- do not stop in the street and block traffic
- when parking in the drop off inlet up front - please ensure that your car does not encroach the sidewalk
- do not park in the DE driveway (by the hedge) as our special needs buses are using this driveway
- the back lot is usually available for safe student drop off/pick up and is accessible unless the bus is loading
or unloading

Thank you for your help in keeping our students safe and making Thomas D'Arcy McGee Catholic School a good neighbour.

Sincerely, Mrs. Langdon

If you did not purchase tickets but would like to go, we have approximately 25 tickets left. These will be sold today (April 22nd) and tomorrow (April 23rd) after masses at Annunciation of the Lord Parish. Once they are gone, there are no more seats.. so don't miss out!!

We are in need of volunteers for this event. If you can help out to set up during the day or during the dinner, please let us know through our email account:

We also need desserts. If you can bring a plate of cookies, squares or other "finger" dessert, please let us know at the above email address. We really appreciate all donations!

We have an amazing array of items for auction - everything from gift cards, to handmade bowties, to tickets to family events! Even more selection than last year.

Most importantly, all funds raised go toward the installation of our inclusive play structure. We are so close to achieving our financial goal - please join us and help us make this initiative a reality!!

Sincerely, Mrs. Langdon and the TD McGee Catholic School Playground Committee
